Green building materials and low-carbon concrete

Eco friendly construction materials can be identified through low-carbon and sustainability certifications. These include the “Green Concrete” category within the Taiwan Green Building Materials Certification System and the carbon labeling for ready mixed concrete products issued by the Ministry of Environment. In May 2022, Yatung Ready mixed Concrete obtained the concrete product carbon label certification. Additionally, several factories have also earned the green building material certification. These materials offer comparable strength while significantly reducing carbon emissions by over 40% compared to traditional concrete. Through the product carbon emission information of the concrete carbon label, customers can better understand the impact of concrete on the environment, and can also help customers make informed choices of low-carbon products to achieve NZEB (Nearly Zero-energy Building).

Ultra High Performance Concrete

Ultra High Performance Concrete

Ultra High Performance Concrete uses the DSP theory of ultra-fine particle densification system to mix cement, silica fume, quartz powder, quartz sand and various materials in optimal proportions to achieve many performances that cannot be achieved by traditional cement concrete. The superior performances include compressive strength higher than 150 MPa, resist bending and develop multiple cracks to absorb fracture energy.

High Flowing Concrete
High Flowing Concrete

High Flowing Concrete

HFC has a fluidity of 50-60cm, which not only provides good workability but also prevents the formation of honeycombs and improper filling.

Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC)

Due to its fluidity, gaps between steel bars and corners of the framework can be completely filled, solving common defects such as the poor compactness of concrete, honeycomb formation and water leakage.

Underwater Concrete

Underwater Concrete

Concrete that can be placed in water during construction such as continuous walls, deep foundation piles, underwater structures of piers and ports.

Mass Concrete (Temperature-Controlled Low-Crack Concrete)

The concrete used when the minimum pouring size is more than 120cm, a cement material that amounts to more than 390kg/m3 and in areas where heat discharge is difficult.

Permeable Concrete

Permeable Concrete

Permeable Concrete

Permeable Concrete is a specially designed concrete material with exceptional permeability properties. It permits water to pass through its surface and interior, addressing rainwater drainage issues and enhancing water resource management.

Lightweight Concrete

Lightweight Concrete

Lightweight Concrete

Lightweight Concrete is a concrete material with lower density compared to conventional concrete. Typically, it comprises cement, aggregates, and lightweight materials such as lightweight aggregates, lightweight particles, or foaming agents.

Shotcrete

Shotcrete

Concrete that has a high strength level, the mixture contains concrete and water that is sprayed on by using compressed air. Addition of accelerators can help alter the concrete's viscosity and setting time. Usually used in sporadic areas like tunnels and excavations.

Rigid Pavement Concrete

Concrete that is commonly used on rigid roads, i.e. roads with high tensile (bending) strength. Flexural concrete has a relatively stable, dense and homogeneous characteristics and is not easy deformed by environment or load.

Fiber-Reinforced Concrete (FRC)

Fiber-Reinforced Concrete (FRC) is a distinct concrete composition incorporating fiber materials to bolster its strength, durability, and toughness.

Expanded Concrete (Shrinkage-Free Concrete)

Expanded Concrete (Shrinkage-Free Concrete)

Expanded Concrete is a unique concrete material possessing expansive properties and minimal volume change during the hardening process. It is typically achieved by incorporating special expanders and control materials into the concrete mix.

Early Strength Concrete

Early Strength Concrete

Early Strength Concrete is a specialized concrete featuring accelerated setting and early strength development.
